According to reports, the second phase of Wuxi Metro Line 4 starts from the Expo Center Station of the first phase of Line 4, and is laid along Zhenze Road and Xinhua Road, ending at Xishi Road Station with reserved extension conditions. The total length of the route is about 8.6 kilometers. . There are 6 stations on the whole line, all of which are underground stations. The estimated investment of the project is 6.412 billion yuan, and the construction period is expected to be 48 months.

The second phase of Wuxi Metro Line 4 has been included in the National Development and Reform Commission's "Approval for the Third Phase Construction Plan of Wuxi Urban Rail Transit (2021-2026)" in 2021.
