On May 30, 2022, the preliminary design of the Jiaxiang-Jinxiang section of Jining-Shangqiu Expressway was approved by the Provincial Department of Transportation, which provided important support for the project's land registration and construction bidding, and promoted the project's work into the fast lane.

Jiaxiang to Jinxiang Section Expressway

According to the approval, the main line of the project starts from the northwest side of Xilizhuang Village, Jintun Town, Jiaxiang County. The Jiaxiang East Hub is set up to connect with the S33 Jixu Expressway and the proposed Zoucheng-Jining Highway, and it ends at Yangyang, Mamiao Town, Jinxiang County. On the southwest side of Konglou Village (the boundary between Jining and Heze), it is directly connected to the Chengwu-Caoxian section of the Jining-Shangqiu Expressway.

The whole line is equipped with 1 extra-large bridge, 5 bridges, 4 middle bridges, 23 culverts, 5 interchanges (including 2 hub interchanges), 20 separate interchanges, 65 passages, 1 service area, and ramp charges. There are 3 stations, 1 maintenance work area, and 1 monitoring and communication sub-center. The total length of the route is about 45.1 kilometers. The main line adopts the standard of two-way six-lane expressway. The design speed is 120 kilometers per hour and the width of the roadbed is 34.5 meters.

After the completion of the Jiaxiang-Jinxiang section of Jining-Shangqiu Expressway, it will become an important transportation channel connecting the Lunan Economic Circle in Shandong Province.
