The project starts from Taihe Town, Qingxin District, Qingyuan City, and intersects with Shantou-Zhanjiang Expressway. It runs from north to south through Taiping Town and Shantang Town, Qingxin District, Qingyuan City, Henghe Street, Shijiao Town and Longtang Town, Qingcheng District, Guangzhou City. Chini Town, Huadu District, and finally Tanbu Town, Huadu District, after intersecting with the West Second Ring Expressway, a ramp will be set up to connect with Provincial Highway S267, and the conditions for the south extension of the project are reserved. The total length of the route is about 53.898km. The high-speed section from the starting point to Foqing adopts the standard of two-way six-lane expressway, and the width of the roadbed is 34.5m; the section from the expressway to the end of Foqing adopts the standard of two-way eight-lane expressway, and the width of the roadbed is 42m. The design speed of the whole line is 120km/h, and the main line bridges are 29775.3m/45, including 14153.6m/11 extra-large bridges, 15176.7m/28 bridges, and 445.0m/6 bridges; the bridge-to-tunnel ratio is about 55.42%. There are 12 interchanges (including 2 reserved in the planning), 1 service area, 1 parking area, and necessary traffic ancillary facilities along the line.
