On July 15th, Sunac Power successfully signed a contract with Saudi Arabia's ALGIHAZ for the world's largest energy storage project, with a capacity of up to 7.8GWh. The three sites of this project are located in the Nairan, Madaya, and Khamis Mushait regions of Saudi Arabia. Delivery will begin in 2024 and full capacity grid connection will be achieved by 2025. This will effectively improve the stability and reliability of Saudi Arabia's power grid and contribute to the realization of Saudi Arabia's "2030" vision.
The project has a large scale, tight delivery schedule, complex scheduling management, and high requirements for power grid support and operation and maintenance. Sunshine Power will deploy over 1500 sets of PowerTitan 2.0 liquid cooled energy storage systems, featuring an integrated AC storage design with high energy density, helping customers save 55% of their land area. The equipment can be pre installed and pre debugged before leaving the factory, and connected to the grid upon arrival. At the same time, relying on intelligent manufacturing capabilities and a global sales and service system, it meets the requirements of rapid project delivery. It is expected that after the project is connected to the grid, it can achieve a long service life of over 15 years, ensuring stable and efficient revenue for the power station.
