With the deepening of globalization, power infrastructure construction is an important cornerstone of economic development, and its standardization and internationalization process is particularly important. Recently, China Energy Engineering Group China Power Engineering Yunnan Institute successfully won the bid for the 2024 115 kV-500 kV transmission and transformation project feasibility study depth regulations and cost typical indicators research project of Laos National Transmission Network Co., Ltd. This milestone bid not only marks the first breakthrough of Yunnan Institute in the field of international power transmission and transformation standard compilation research and consulting, but also another important practice of China's standard going global strategy under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The project aims to combine China's mature power construction experience and standard system to tailor a set of feasibility study depth regulations and cost typical indicators for Laos' domestic 115 kV to 500 kV transmission and transformation project construction. This will not only help to improve the standardization level of Laos' power infrastructure construction, but also provide solid technical support and reference basis for power cooperation between the two countries and even in a wider region.
The project will fully draw on China's rich experience and advanced standards in the field of power transmission and transformation engineering, while taking into account Laos' geographical environment, economic development level and power grid construction needs, to ensure that the research results are both advanced and in line with Laos' national conditions. Through in-depth research, the project will form a set of scientific quota adjustment coefficients and list pricing indicators to provide precise guidance for the budget preparation and cost control of Laos' power transmission and transformation projects, and effectively improve the level of refinement of project management.
Combined with the actual situation in Laos, the project will set a reasonable cost control line to help the owner accurately estimate the investment scale in the early stage of the project and effectively control investment risks. Clarify the core elements such as the compilation principles and charging standards of typical cost indicators, and provide a reference cost management template for Laos and even other countries along the Belt and Road.
Strategic significance
This winning bid is not only an important victory for China Energy Construction China Power Engineering Yunnan Institute in the international market, but also an important achievement of China's standard going global strategy. It not only demonstrates the advancement and applicability of China's power construction technology, but also establishes a good brand image for Chinese companies in overseas markets.
More importantly, the successful implementation of this project will effectively promote the recognition and acceptance of Chinese standards by countries along the Belt and Road, and further play the leading role of design consulting in the value chain of foreign contracting projects. Through the output of technical standards, China will work with more countries to jointly build a more open, inclusive, balanced and inclusive global economic governance system, and contribute to the realization of common prosperity and development.Editor/Cheng Ting
