The latest information from China General Nuclear Power Group shows that Daya Bay Nuclear Power Base, as the first large-scale commercial nuclear power plant in mainland China, has accumulated nearly 1 trillion kWh of electricity online. This achievement not only demonstrates the outstanding strength of my country's nuclear power technology, but also provides strong support for the green and low-carbon development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Since its full completion and commercial operation in 1994, Daya Bay Nuclear Power Base has been operating safely for more than 30 years, constantly breaking industry records and becoming a leader in the international nuclear power field. So far, the base has three nuclear power plants and six nuclear power units with a total installed capacity of 6.12 million kilowatts, making it one of the largest pressurized water reactor nuclear power bases in the world. The cumulative online electricity generation of these nuclear power units has reached nearly 1 trillion kWh, which is equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by about 3 billion tons and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 824 million tons. Its environmental benefits are equivalent to planting 2.16 million hectares of trees, making a huge contribution to the ecological civilization construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In the future, Daya Bay Nuclear Power Base will continue to uphold the concept of green development, promote the self-reliance of nuclear power technology, and make greater contributions to the green and low-carbon transformation and ecological civilization construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
