On July 22, 2024, Shaoxing's rail transit construction ushered in an important milestone. Dongshan Road Station in the Phase 2 Bid 7 project of Shaoxing Rail Transit Line 2, undertaken by China Railway First Bureau, successfully ushered in the official start of its first underground continuous wall. This landmark event not only means that Dongshan Road Station has fully entered a new stage of enclosure structure construction, but also marks that the entire project has pressed the "fast forward button" to accelerate progress.
Dongshan Road Station, located at the intersection of Wuxing East Road and Dongshan Road, is carefully laid out along the east-west direction of Wuxing East Road. It is designed as an underground two-story island platform station, showing a model of modern rail transit. The main body of the station adopts a single-column double-span box-type frame structure with a total length of 234.3 meters and a standard section width of 19.7 meters. The construction method adopts an efficient open-cut method. It is particularly worth mentioning that the station's enclosure structure uses a solid 0.8-meter-thick underground continuous wall, totaling 90 pieces, which has built a solid defense line for the safety and quality of the project.
However, the construction of Dongshan Road Station was not smooth sailing. Faced with the challenges of densely packed buildings, intricate underground pipelines, heavy traffic pressure, suspension requirements during the college entrance examination, high temperatures and scorching heat, the project team demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and mission. They did not wait or rely on others, but took the initiative to actively communicate and coordinate with all parties, including the construction unit, design unit, pipeline property unit, traffic police department and owners of surrounding communities, to ensure that every link is closely connected and every problem is properly solved.
In the early work, the project team was even more meticulous and set up a special working group with dedicated personnel to promote the relocation of gas, tap water, electricity, rainwater and sewage pipelines. Through regular on-site inspections, strengthening pipeline protection, and timely solving relocation problems, the smooth progress of the construction progress was effectively guaranteed. At the same time, with the strong support of the Municipal Rail Group, the project team worked closely with local departments, invited the traffic police department to provide on-site guidance, scientifically refined the traffic diversion plan, increased publicity efforts, and made early arrangements. The first traffic diversion was successfully completed, winning precious time for the project.
Shaoxing Rail Transit Line 2 Phase II is an important link between Shangyu District and the main urban area of Shaoxing. It is about 25.9 kilometers long and has 7 stations. The completion of this line will greatly shorten the time and space distance between Shangyu and Jinghu core areas, achieve seamless connection between the two places, and further promote the new layout optimization of the urban spatial structure.
