CEMEX strongly supports major transportation construction projects in Tamaulipas, southern Mexico, and supplies high-performance, high-durability and Vertua series low-carbon concrete for the new highway that will be connected in the region. This strategic road aims to closely connect Ciudad Mante, Tula and Ocampo to central Mexico, which not only shortens the distance between cities, but also heralds a new chapter in regional economic and cultural exchanges.
As one of the highlights of the project, a planned 3.3-kilometer-long tunnel is particularly eye-catching. Its scale will rank among the forefront of Mexico's tunnel construction, demonstrating the excellence and foresight of engineering technology. The highway is expected to be completed in 2025, which will greatly ease the traffic pressure in the surrounding areas and provide more convenient and efficient travel options for local residents and passing travelers.
CEMEX is well aware of the importance of this project to Mexico's infrastructure construction, so it has responded positively. So far, it has transported more than 80,000 cubic meters of Vertua low-carbon concrete designed for high resistance and environmental protection needs from its two factories day and night, accounting for nearly half of the total planned supply, fully demonstrating its strong production capacity and commitment to sustainable development.
In this cooperation, CEMEX and Grupo Hycsa's subsidiaries Calzada Construcciones and Construcciones y Dragados del Sureste worked hand in hand to jointly promote this milestone project. The three teams worked closely together to ensure the high-quality and efficient advancement of the project with excellent technical strength and unremitting efforts, contributing to the prosperity and development of southern Mexico.Editor/Cheng Ting
