On August 27, 2024, White News Agency reported from the upper house of parliament in Minsk. As part of the official visit, the Belarusian delegation led by Natalia Kochanova, Speaker of the House of Representatives, met with Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Both sides discussed further deepening the multifaceted relationship between Uzbekistan and Belarus, including expanding inter parliamentary interaction.

During the meeting, Kochanova extended greetings and wishes to the head of state of Uzbekistan on behalf of Belarusian President Lukashenko. The President of Uzbekistan expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of bilateral cooperation and increasing exchanges between the two countries based on high-level consensus.

During the talks, both sides highly appreciated the fruitful results of the parliamentary joint activities held in Tashkent recently, including the meetings held within the framework of the Uzbekistan Supreme Assembly and the Second Uzbekistan Belarus Women's Business Forum. In addition, it emphasizes the importance of continuing intensive inter parliamentary dialogue aimed at promoting specific cooperation projects between the two countries in trade, industry, agriculture, education, health, and other priority areas.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Natalia Kochanova led a Belarusian delegation on an official visit to Uzbekistan. Recently, the second Uzbekistan Belarus Women's Business Forum is being held in Tashkent. About 100 representatives from the business community and government agencies from Belarus will participate. The Republic Committee reviewed the results of the first Belarus Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum: 14 memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements were signed, including an agreement to establish joint production of leather and footwear, 15 contracts worth over 90 million Belarusian rubles or 350 billion Uzbek rubles were signed.
