On September 12, 2024, China Power International Development Co., Ltd. announced an important cooperation progress, and its wholly-owned indirect subsidiary Haiwei (Rushan) Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd. successfully signed the "General Contract for Offshore Wind Power Project Engineering" with Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Co., Ltd. (Shandong Institute). This contract marks the substantial construction stage of Haiwei Wind Power's offshore wind power project in Weihai City, Shandong Province, with a total contract amount of up to RMB 1.143 billion.

According to the project plan, Haiwei Wind Power is fully committed to promoting an offshore wind power project with a total installed capacity of 450MW. The project is located in the wind resource rich Shandong Peninsula and aims to transform natural advantages into clean energy production capacity. Shandong Institute will undertake the survey and design, procurement of auxiliary equipment, construction and installation, as well as comprehensive technical support services for the project to ensure efficient progress.

As early as August this year, both parties had already signed a preliminary development and technical consulting contract. Shandong Institute completed the feasibility study, engineering survey, and government approval coordination of the project for 29.94 million yuan, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent implementation of the project.

As one of the major provincial projects in Shandong Province in 2024, this project not only demonstrates the deep cultivation and meticulous work of Haiwei Wind Power in the field of offshore wind power, but also injects strong impetus into the local economic development, promoting the effective transformation of natural resources into economic benefits. After the project is put into operation, the generated electricity will seamlessly integrate into the local power grid, contributing to the optimization of regional energy structure and the achievement of dual carbon goals. Through this project, China Power International Development Co., Ltd. has further consolidated its leading position in the field of new energy and continued to promote the vigorous development of China's offshore wind power industry.
