Recently, Toksun County in Turpan City, Xinjiang has achieved a major breakthrough in the field of new energy. The first batch of 400MW photovoltaics from the Uston Solar Thermal+Photovoltaic Integration Project have been successfully connected to the grid, marking a solid step forward in the field of photovoltaic solar thermal integration in the region and becoming a pioneer model nationwide. As a key focus of Xinjiang's "14th Five Year Plan" for new energy, this project integrates 100MW molten salt tower solar thermal power generation and 900MW photovoltaic power generation, with a total installed capacity of up to 1GW and an estimated annual power generation of 1.7 billion kWh, demonstrating strong clean energy supply capabilities.

This project optimizes the energy structure and improves the comprehensive utilization efficiency of solar energy through an innovative model of segmented power generation and centralized grid connection. The clever combination of photovoltaics and photothermal technology not only makes power output more stable and reliable, but also maximizes the utilization of solar energy resources. Solar thermal energy storage technology can store thermal energy when there is abundant sunlight for use at night or on cloudy days, effectively balancing power supply and demand and enhancing the resilience of the energy system.

As a leader in China's solar thermal power generation, Xinjiang's installed capacity has jumped to the top in the country, and multiple ongoing projects are accelerating, further consolidating its leading position in the field of new energy. With the deepening implementation of the Action Plan for Peaking Carbon Emissions Before 2030, the complementary development of solar thermal power generation, photovoltaics, and wind power will become a trend, jointly building a more diversified and comprehensive renewable energy generation system, and contributing to the promotion of China's energy green and low-carbon transformation.
