On September 16, 2024, the general contracting project led by Inner Mongolia Electric Power Survey and Design Institute, Inner Mongolia Energy Second Company 1 million kilowatt wind storage base, made significant progress. The first wind turbine was successfully hoisted, marking that this green energy giant is steadily moving towards the goal of full grid connection by the end of the year. The project is located in Erenhot, with a total installed capacity of up to 1 million kilowatts. It deploys 100 independently developed 10 megawatt level wind turbines, each of which is a top technology crystallization in China. It has 232 meter super large wind turbines and 125 meter high steel towers, demonstrating a new height in China's wind power manufacturing.
The implementation of this project not only signifies the injection of approximately 3 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity into the power grid annually, but also significantly reduces coal consumption by nearly 910000 tons and effectively curbs carbon dioxide emissions exceeding 2.7 million tons, injecting strong momentum into the vigorous development of the regional new energy industry and having immeasurable value in promoting the implementation of the national dual carbon strategy.
The establishment of this green milestone is an important step in the energy structure transformation of Inner Mongolia and even the whole country, demonstrating China's technological strength and forward-looking layout in the field of clean energy.
