On July 30, 2025, China State Construction Steel Structure, a subsidiary of China State Construction Science and Industry, successfully won the bid for the Six Senses Apartment project in Dubai. Located in the Marina district of Dubai's high-end residential area, the project has a building height of 517 meters and a total of 126 floors, and is expected to be completed in 2028. After completion, it will become the world's tallest apartment building and the eighth super-high-rise project undertaken by China State Construction Steel in the Middle East, further consolidating the leading position of Chinese companies in the field of global super-high-rise buildings.

Technological innovation: high-strength steel and complex structures

The project adopts a steel-concrete core cylinder + shear wall structure, and 4 truss layers are set up to enhance stability. 96% of its steel structure is made of S460 high-strength steel, with a maximum welding plate thickness of 160 mm and a total steel consumption of more than 10,000 tons. The components will be jointly produced by China State Construction Steel Structure's manufacturing bases in the UAE and China, demonstrating the ability of global supply chain collaboration.

Design concept: Vertical healthy community and green building

With the "Vertical Health Community" as the core, Six Senses Dubai Apartments integrates luxury residences and health facilities, and plans facilities such as sky pools, yoga platforms, and wellness centers to create a "cloud life" experience. The tower adopts a two-axis symmetrical layout and an arched crown design to optimize wind resistance and achieve partial energy self-sufficiency through integrated photovoltaic panels, reflecting the concept of sustainable architecture.
