[Chinese Enterprises Win 230 kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project in Laos] Recently, China Electric Power Engineering Consulting Group Yunnan Institute successfully won the bid for the design and construction general contracting project of the 230 kV Mahaxay power transmission and transformation project of Laos State Grid Corporation (EDL-T). This project is a key project in the construction of the national transmission network in Laos, and also a critical project for the 230 kV backbone network connecting the central and southern regions of Laos. According to the project plan, a new 230 kV substation and 91 km of 230 kV transmission lines will be built. The project is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2025, which will significantly improve the structure of Laos' power grid, enhance the regional power supply guarantee capability, and provide stable and reliable power support for Laos' economic and social development.
