[India's Ladakh Highway Upgrade adds 135 million yuan]The upgrade project of the Ladakh Highway in northern India will require an additional investment of 135 million US dollars, managed by the Border Road Organization (BRO). This project is of great significance, aiming to enhance road connectivity in the Ladakh region, promote local economic development, and ensure the security of this area adjacent to China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tajikistan. The "Vijayak Project" launched in 2010 is committed to improving the road network in Ladakh, and has achieved remarkable results so far. It has built 1400 kilometers of roads and 80 bridges. At the same time, the tunnel extension project is being carried out in an orderly manner, and the reconstruction of the Zojira Pass project has reached a height of 3500 meters.
