[China National Nuclear Corporation signed a contract for overseas energy storage projects]Recently, Singapore based renewable energy company EquatorRenewables Asia (ERA) signed a cooperation agreement with China National Nuclear Corporation's subsidiary, Huineng International, to develop a 900MWp photovoltaic and 1.2GWh battery energy storage project in the Riau Islands of Indonesia, aiming to supply green electricity to Singapore. The total investment of this project is billions of dollars, and it is expected to generate approximately 830 GWh of electricity annually after completion and operation in 2029. Huineng International will be responsible for the investment, construction, and operation of photovoltaic energy storage projects, while ERA will be responsible for transmission management and power general contracting and coordination. According to official news from Huineng International, the company signed a cooperation framework agreement for cross-border power transmission projects between Indonesia and Singapore with EquatorRenewables Asia (ERA) during its participation in the 2025 Singapore Energy Week event.
