[Construction of an important expressway in Croatia by Chinese enterprises begins]On November 11th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Borja Godiniac Expressway project in Croatia, constructed by China Road and Bridge Corporation, was held in Borja. Croatian Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure Butkovic, Chinese Ambassador to Croatia Qi Qianjin, and others attended the ceremony.
Butkovic pointed out in his speech that this project is the second largest infrastructure project in Croatia after the Peljesac Bridge. He stated that China Road and Bridge Corporation has demonstrated excellent professional capabilities through the construction of the Pelechac Bridge, and believes that the Borja Godiniac Expressway project will be successfully completed on schedule.
Ambassador Qi Qianjin emphasized in his speech that he hopes Chinese enterprises can overcome difficulties and make this project a new model of cooperation between China and Croatia, and help promote the sustainable development of friendly relations between the two countries.
It is understood that the expressway project has a total length of 14.75 kilometers, a contract amount of 160 million euros, and a construction period of 48 months. After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve the transportation conditions in the province of Borja Slavonia, effectively promoting local economic development and tourism prosperity.
