By 2026, the bilateral trade volume between China and Kazakhstan has exceeded 50 billion US dollars, and green cooperation has become a new engine for economic and trade growth between the two countries. Recently, Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Orzas Beketnov held a special meeting with Dai Daoguo, Chairman of Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Group, and officially signed the Almaty Waste Energy Utilization Investment Agreement. The total investment is 145.5 billion tenge, about 330 million US dollars. The project is scheduled to start construction on May 29, 2026, with a construction period of two years. After completion, it will completely rewrite the pattern of solid waste treatment in Almaty.
Daily processing of 2000 tons of solid waste
The project is designed to process 2000 tons of solid waste per day, with a power generation capacity of 60 megawatts. After being put into operation, it can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 200000 tons per year, save 800000 cubic meters of landfill space, and achieve the integration of solid waste resource based power generation and clean heating. During the construction period, 700 temporary employment positions will be created, and 120 permanent positions will be stably provided after operation. Three green centers and three major technology bases will be built to cover core functions such as power guarantee, digital energy consumption management, clean heating, and local talent cultivation. Keywords: bilateral trade and connectivity between China and Kazakhstan

At present, the installed capacity of renewable energy in Kazakhstan has exceeded 8GW, and ecological protection has been listed as a priority in the new constitution. However, the solid waste treatment in Almaty still relies on traditional landfill, and the resource utilization rate is less than 15%. As a leading domestic solid waste energy company, Hunan Junxin will comprehensively export core technologies for waste incineration power generation, while simultaneously promoting equipment localization and talent cultivation.Editor/Cheng Liting
