On August 31, 2022, the super-diameter (15.56m) mud-water balance shield machine "Jihua No. 1" jointly developed by Shanghai Tunnel Co., Ltd. and CRCC was successfully rolled off the line in Foshan China Railway China Tunnel. The equipment will be applied to Foshan Jihua Controlling works of the Luxi extension project.

"Jihua No. 1" shield machine cutter head has a diameter of 15.56 meters, a total length of about 161 meters and a total weight of about 4800 tons. It is equipped with a total of 264 cutters of 7 types, and the maximum propulsion speed is 60 mm/min. The cutter head pattern is composed of Composition with white magnolia and surrounding water ripples.

The "Jihua No. 1" that has been rolled off the assembly line is the largest diameter shield machine in Guangfo area.
