[China Guangdong Nuclear Power Huizhou Port Offshore Wind Power Project Started] On March 15, 2023, the pile sinking operation for the first wind turbine foundation of the 2.75 million kilowatts offshore wind power project of CGN Huizhou Port began, and this also marked the official start of the main offshore project of the first affordable offshore wind power project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. CGN Huizhou Port No. 2 Offshore Wind Power Project is located in the southern waters of Ganggang Town, Huidong County, Huizhou City. The water depth ranges from 31m to 40m, and the shortest distance from the land is about 22km. It is planned to deploy 10 8.5MW wind turbines, 45 12MW wind turbines and 9 14MW wind turbines. A 220kV offshore step-up station will be built simultaneously, and the onshore centralized control center will be expanded at the same time. In addition to the projects currently under construction, CGNPC has completed offshore wind power projects in this sea area. At present, this project has been put into operation with an installed capacity of 250,000 kilowatts. In addition, after the completion of the Port No. 2 offshore wind power project, the installed capacity of the CGN Huizhou Port Offshore Wind Power Base will reach 1 million kilowatts, making it the first million-kilowatt offshore wind power project base in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
