[Masaka Hospital Reconstruction and Expansion Project in Rwanda Started] Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction and expansion project of Masaka Hospital in Rwanda, which was designed and managed by China IPPR, was held in Rwanda. Prime Minister Ngirente of Rwanda and Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Wang Xuekun attended the ceremony and laid the foundation for the project. Ambassador Wang Xuekun said in his speech that the China-aided Rwanda Masaka Hospital Reconstruction and Expansion Project is an important measure to implement the results of President Xi Jinping's visit to Rwanda in 2018, which reflects the stable development of bilateral relations between China and Rwanda and the profound bond between the two peoples friendship. In the future, China will, as always, provide support within its capacity for Rwanda's economic and social development and the improvement of people's livelihood. The construction area of the project exceeds 56,000 square meters, including outpatient and emergency buildings, medical technology buildings, inpatient buildings, office buildings and ancillary buildings.
