On January 16, 2024, the Lingang New Area held a grand launch ceremony for key projects of the month. This batch of 33 projects, with a total investment of 14.6 billion yuan, spans multiple fields, including industrial construction, comprehensive bonded trade, residential facilities, commercial and cultural tourism, social and livelihood engineering, urban transportation, water conservancy facilities, and greening engineering. The main venue of the ceremony is located in the artificial intelligence terminal industry research and development hub of Shanghai Jingang Zhiao Park, while the Lingang Science and Technology Innovation 2.0 project and the Y4 Road (Lingang Avenue Dongda Road) new road project serve as sub venues. The launch of these projects undoubtedly injects strong impetus into the future development of the Lingang New Area, driving it towards higher goals.

The artificial intelligence terminal industry research and development base Shanghai Jingang Zhiao Park project has a total investment of 1.97 billion yuan and a total construction area of 220000 square meters. This project will further promote the agglomeration development of the artificial intelligence industry, create an industrial innovation demonstration park with a port logo, promote the research and innovation of artificial intelligence terminal product technology, and promote the scale and agglomeration development of the industry. This project aims to attract investment through the north-south linkage of Jinqiao Group, introduce benchmark enterprises, and promote the formation of industrial scale benefits. The base will carry out industrial cooperation with relevant enterprises in the Lingang Comprehensive Zone, forming a new pattern of staggered and complementary development.

The Lingang Science and Technology Innovation 2.0 project has a total investment of 1.9 billion yuan and a total construction area of 142000 square meters, including two research and development buildings, supporting podiums in the park, and a three story underground garage. The project development entity - Shanghai Lingang Technology Entrepreneurship Center is the first national level technology enterprise incubator in the Lingang New Area. The 2.0 project that has started construction this time is the renovation and expansion of the old site demolished in the first phase of the park. After completion, it can provide innovative growth space for more high-tech enterprises through the transformation and upgrading of incubation carriers and incubation ecology.

The total investment for the construction project of Y4 Road (Lingang Avenue Dongda Highway) is 580 million yuan. The project covers a total length of approximately 1.98 kilometers, starting from Lingang Avenue in the south and ending at Dongda Highway in the north. After the completion of the project, the internal transportation network of the new area will be optimized and improved, which has a positive significance for improving the urban road transportation system and strengthening the overall development of the surrounding areas.

In 2024, the Lingang New Area will usher in an important moment of its fifth anniversary.
