[China's Sinochem 240,000 tons/year polyether polyol project officially started]It was learned on January 29 that recently, Sinochem Dongda 240,000 tons/year polyether polyol project held a groundbreaking ceremony in Quanhui Petrochemical Industrial Park, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, marking the entry of the project into the construction phase. Sinohua Dongda (formerly Shandong Bluestar Dongda Co., LTD.) is a leading enterprise in China's polyurethane industry. Its polyether polyols are mainly used in automotive interior, high-speed rail seats, track expansion joints, spinning oils, UV curing, electronic adhesives and other high-end fields. Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical Co., LTD is a large-scale petrochemical enterprise integrating petrochemical refining, storage, transportation and sales. The 240,000 tons/year polyether polyol project is a key project of Sinochem's "14th Five-Year Plan" strategic plan, which will rely on Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical's 200,000 tons of propylene oxide plant to accelerate the release of the "wall effect" of the industry, build an intensive and efficient green industry chain, and improve the frequency and efficiency of upstream and downstream R&D collaborative innovation. The project is expected to achieve the conditions of China Transportation by the end of 2024, and put into trial production in early 2025. After completion, it will further expand the competitive advantage of Sinochem East University in the differentiated and high-end polyurethane market, expand its coverage in South China and Southeast Asia markets, and become an important part of the transformation and upgrading of Chlor-alkali Division and Sinochem to build a world-class polyurethane industry chain. On the afternoon of October 8th, under the on-site escort of the Guangdong Zhanjiang Maritime Bureau's "Haixun 0927" ship, the first flatbed cargo ship dedicated to the transportation of new energy vehicles in the Qiongzhou Strait, the "Green Source No. 1" ship, slowly entered the Xuwen Hai'an New Port, marking the successful trial operation of the ship's roll on/roll off transport route in the Qiongzhou Strait. It is reported that the deck cargo ship "Green Source No.1" has a total tonnage of 6731, a net tonnage of 3769, a length of 125.8 meters, and a width of 28 meters. The ship adopts a single-layer deck design, which can carry more than 160 new energy vehicles on a single voyage under full load conditions. The parking capacity is about 60% higher than that of existing passenger and roll on/roll off transport ships. The ship is planned to be deployed on the route from Hai'an New Port in Zhanjiang to Xiuying Port in Haikou. After being put into operation, it will add a new mode of sea transportation for new energy vehicles in the Qiongzhou Strait and effectively alleviate the tense situation of insufficient capacity for new energy vehicle transportation during the peak period of cross sea vehicle transportation in the Qiongzhou Strait.
