[The first phase of Xizang Huaneng Gight Power Station was officially started] On February 26, the first phase of Huaneng Gawa Light Storage Power Station, the largest photovoltaic project under construction in Tibet, was officially started by China NENG Construction Gezhouba Electromechanical Company. Located in Qusong County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region, the Gava photovoltaic power station is the largest photovoltaic project under construction in Tibet, with a rated capacity of 250 MW on the AC side of the first phase. China NENG Construction Gezhouba Electromechanical Co., Ltd. undertakes the task of 220 kV transmission line construction of photovoltaic power station in the form of EPC general contract, with a total length of about 25 kilometers. After the completion of the power station, the annual average power generation will reach 370 million KWH, saving 11,700 tons of standard coal per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions of about 306,700 tons, which can effectively alleviate the shortage of electricity in Shannan power grid, and increase the proportion of photovoltaic power generation in Tibet's energy structure. It has played an important role in promoting the construction of "National clean energy Continuity Base" and "National clean and renewable energy utilization Demonstration Zone" in Tibet.
