[Ningxia plans to invest 8 billion yuan in water conservancy projects by 2024] On March 20, from the "press Conference on the construction of major projects in the Autonomous Region" held by the government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, it was learned that Ningxia marked the national major strategy and the construction deployment of the pilot area of the autonomous region, scientifically planned to promote 210 water conservancy projects in 6 categories such as flood control and disaster reduction and irrigation area transformation, with a total investment of 23.5 billion yuan, and planned investment of more than 8 billion yuan in 2024. Up to now, 68 water conservancy projects have been started in Ningxia, with an investment of 5.53 billion yuan, 440% of the same period in 2023; The completed investment of 420 million yuan is 150% of the same period in 2023. In particular, key projects such as flood control project at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain, Guhai expansion irrigation and water upgrading, modernization of Qixing Canal irrigation area, and renovation of Hongsipu Branch trunk canal pumping station are being accelerated, and the river control project of the Ningxia section of the Yellow River is about to start.
