On April 11, 2024, Danfoss and Zhejiang Jiaxing Haiyan Government jointly announced that the construction project of Danfoss Haiyan Second Park officially started.

Danfoss officially settled in Haiyan, Zhejiang Province, in 2005. After nearly two decades of development, Haiyan Park has developed into the largest R&D and production base of Danfoss in China. The upcoming Haiyan Second Park project covers an area of about 216 acres and will be the largest one-time completion of the park in the history of Danfoss Group.

The expansion project is expected to be completed in the first half of 2025 and will mainly be used to expand existing production capacity to tap the market potential and business opportunities unlocked by China's green transformation and industrial upgrading process.

Xu Yang, president of Danfoss China, said: "We gathered here to witness the further improvement of Danfoss 'presence in China, especially in the fields of smart manufacturing, innovation and green sustainable development, which not only marks a solid step forward for Danfoss' development in China, but also reflects the firm determination of the government and enterprises to work together to promote green energy and develop new quality productivity."

Eric Alstrom, President of Danfoss Power Systems, said: "As China continues to lead in the field of green protection, the Chinese market is becoming increasingly important to the success of Danfoss 'global business. We continue to invest in the Chinese market, especially in smart manufacturing and innovation. This expansion project will help us further expand our business in China and support the growth of our global business."

ThomasØstrup Møller, Danish Ambassador to China, said: "Green transition is very important for China's development. For nearly three decades, Danfoss has been supporting China's green transition by investing in advanced production facilities in Zhejiang and other parts of the country to provide the green solutions needed to help decarbonize China through 'reduce, reuse and green electrification.'"

Wang Shisha, secretary of Haiyan County Party Committee, delivered a speech at the ceremony: "Haiyan will always uphold the concept of 'pro-business, safe business, rich business', cherish the valuable cooperation and friendship with Danfoss Group, go all out to be a good 'shop second', do our best to provide a full range of quality services throughout the whole process for project construction and enterprise development, and help the project to put into operation early, early results."

In line with the Danfoss Group's goal of achieving global carbon neutrality by 2030, the new campus will be built to high energy efficiency standards and operated according to Danfoss 'three-step approach to decarbonisation (reduction, reuse and greening). This means that energy efficiency technologies will be fully utilized to reduce energy consumption, while waste heat and energy will be recycled. In addition, Danfoss is exploring long-term green electricity procurement cooperation with local governments and green electricity producers, and plans to achieve full green electricity coverage when the park is officially opened.

Xu Yang, president of Danfoss China, said that when the park is completed, it will serve as a demonstration center for Danfoss 'decarbonization solutions and the "three-step approach" to decarbonization, focusing on how we can achieve the goal of decarbonization quickly and at a low cost through innovative technology, efficient equipment and scientific management.

Danfoss Haiyan Park is an important research and development and production base in the company's global layout. The company has the same level of application development center in Haiyan as in Europe and the United States. The products produced in the park include various frequency converters, heat exchangers and magnetic suspension compressors, and a number of technology industry leaders. Editor/Wang Tian
