At the industrial exchange and project promotion event held by the Yu-Ha Zero-Carbon Technology Industry Assistance Platform to Xinjiang on April 18, 2024, Hami High-tech Industrial Development Zone successfully reached a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Henan Chonglian Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly Promote the development of solid-state battery projects with an annual output of 3G watt-hours.

The project is located in the Hami High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Xinjiang, with a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan. It is expected that after it is put into operation, it will be able to produce 600,000 to 1 million solid-state small batteries per day. This large-scale production capacity will effectively promote the development of the solid-state battery industry, and will also promote the improvement and upgrading of the new energy industry chain in the Hami region.

Liu Binbin, deputy director of the Hami High-tech Zone Management Committee, revealed that four major projects with a total investment of 3.97 billion yuan were launched that day, including high-end intelligent construction of Dacheng Steel Structure, thermal storage integration of Huayao Optoelectronics, and smart power of Hongda Electric Power Equipment and the clean heating project of Yunjing Graphene. Successfully signed contracts with two companies, Henan Zhonglian Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection and Shanxi Aobo Energy, to jointly promote the 3GW solid-state battery project. Hami has also attracted institutions such as the Advanced Carbon Materials Research Institute, the Xinjiang Dacheng Branch of the Steel Structure Design Institute of the Western Construction University Design Institute, and the Xinjiang Dacheng Steel Structure Engineering Company Postdoctoral Workstation, injecting new vitality into the local development.
