On May 6, 2024, Inner Mongolia Energy's Chayouqian Banner 500,000-kilowatt wind and solar power generation project officially started full construction. As an important part of Inner Mongolia Energy's Chayouqian Banner 1,000,000-kilowatt wind and solar storage base project, this project marks Inner Mongolia's progress in the field of green energy. A solid step forward.

The project covers an area of approximately 160 square kilometers, with a total investment of approximately 2.001 billion yuan, and a planned capacity of 500 megawatts. It is expected to be fully connected to the grid for power generation in November this year. After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected that the annual power generation will reach 1.214 billion kilowatt-hours and the annual standard coal saving will reach 4.4453 million tons, which will greatly promote the utilization of clean energy and environmental protection in Inner Mongolia.

Wang Yongping, senior engineer of Menneng New Energy Co., Ltd. in Chayouqian Banner, Ulanqab City, said that the detailed geological survey and basic drawing design of the booster station project have been completed, and site leveling work is being carried out to ensure the smooth progress of the project.

It is worth mentioning that in 2024, Ulanqab City plans to implement a total of 230 major projects with government investment of more than 50 million yuan and corporate investment of more than 100 million yuan, with a total investment of 174.6 billion yuan. So far, 178 projects have resumed work, and the resumption rate has reached 77.4%, showing the positive results of Ulanqab City in promoting the construction of major projects and optimizing the business environment.

The full start of the Inner Mongolia Energy Chayouqian Banner 500,000-kilowatt wind and photovoltaic power generation project will not only help promote the development of green energy in Inner Mongolia, but also inject new impetus into the high-quality economic development of Ulanqab City and the entire Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
