On June 5, 2024, it was announced that CLP Construction New Energy Company officially started the construction work of 200MW agro-pastoral light complementary photovoltaic power generation project located in Jiande City.

China Power Construction Jiande City 200MW agricultural and pastoral light complementary photovoltaic power generation project across Hangzhou Jiande City Shouchang town, Hangtou town, Daciyan town and Datong town, the total area of the project reached 5664 acres, and is divided into six independent sites. The project adopts an innovative development model of dual-use and complementary agricultural and pastoral light, that is, while installing photovoltaic modules on the site to generate electricity, the open space under and between photovoltaic modules is rationally used to carry out agricultural products cultivation and development according to local conditions. This model not only promotes the development of modern agriculture, but also provides clean energy for the local, and realizes the harmonious symbiosis between agriculture and the photovoltaic industry, achieving the goal of double benefits.

This project not only achieved a breakthrough and innovation in the production mode, but also a circular economy model that deeply integrated photovoltaic power generation and planting industry. It cleverly uses space resources, promotes the development and utilization of new energy, and maximizes the potential of land resources. This complementary model of agriculture, livestock and light has created two-way benefits, not only increasing agricultural output value, but also promoting the use of clean energy. It is a vivid example of green, low-carbon and circular agricultural development, and shows a new path of sustainable development.Editor/Zhang Liyuan
