With a total investment of 29 billion yuan, the Tarim Ethylene Phase II project covers a wide range of chemical production facilities. The project plans to build a new ethylene plant with an annual output of 1.2 million tons, as well as two sets of full-density polyethylene devices with an annual output of 450,000 tons, a set of low-density polyethylene devices with an annual output of 300,000 tons and a set of polypropylene devices with an annual output of 450,000 tons. In addition, the project will also support the construction of green and low-carbon demonstration projects to reflect the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development.

Dushanzi Petrochemical Tarim 1.2 million tons/year ethylene project, as a key project in the 14th Five-Year Plan of the autonomous region, has become an important force to promote regional green development with its unique advantages. The project has demonstrated its outstanding strength in the chemical industry with the characteristics of lightweight raw materials, large production scale, high product yield, streamlined process flow and remarkable cost effectiveness.

The project has also made a significant contribution to environmental protection, and is expected to achieve near-zero emissions of carbon dioxide and sewage from cracking furnace flue gas after completion, setting a model for the green and low-carbon development of Bazhou and Korla City.
