[Ningxia Coal Industry Technical Transformation Project Officially Started] Recently, Ningxia Coal Mining Company's MTP process technology upgrade project officially entered the on-site construction stage, marking the start of the project. The project, undertaken by the National Energy Group Ningxia Coal Company, uses domestic advanced DMTO third-generation technology to upgrade the existing coal-based olefins device. The project includes the construction of a 3.6 million tons/year methanol-to-olefin DMTO-Ⅲ unit, which is one of the largest monomer units currently. It will also build a 100,000 tons/year ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer EVA unit. 300,000 tons/year low-density polyethylene LDPE device and high-density polyethylene HDPE device. The project also includes the supporting construction of auxiliary facilities such as circulating water and tank farms. The total investment is approximately 11.8 billion yuan. It is expected to achieve significant energy saving and emission reduction effects after it is put into operation. It can save 4.79 million tons of raw water, 860,000 tons of standard coal, and 100 million cubic meters of natural gas every year, and reduce CO2 emissions by 2.2 million tons. The implementation of this project is of great significance in promoting the construction of a modern coal chemical industry demonstration zone, achieving efficient utilization of raw materials, integration of resource elements, synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, as well as advanced and mature technology and high-end product series.
