[AMEA Power raises funds to launch 120MW solar project in South Africa] On June 8, 2024, AMEA Power LLC, a leading developer and operator of renewable energy based in Dubai, announced that its 120MW Doornhoek solar photovoltaic project in South Africa has successfully completed the financial preparation phase. AMEA Power, as the main investor in the project, successfully secured debt financing of up to $100 million from Standard Bank of South Africa. The Industrial Development Corporation has also provided $8 million in equity financing to local partners Ziyanda Energy and Dzimuzwo Energy. A consortium led by AMEA Power has won the bid in the sixth round of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme, marking the upcoming commissioning of the Dubai-based company's first operating asset in South Africa.Editor/Zhang Liyuan
