[Cambodia's first foreign-funded automobile factory lays foundation for policy]On August 18, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for the electric truck assembly plant of Elephant Motors Co., Ltd. was held in the province of Bodhisattva, Cambodia. The project is expected to invest 20 million US dollars and produce 10000 units annually. The implementation of the Elephant Motors Cambodia factory and its "Hundred Stations, Thousand Piles" infrastructure plan will create over 2000 job opportunities for local residents. This is the first foreign-funded electric truck assembly plant project in Cambodia after the introduction of new energy vehicle development policies. It is reported that Elephant Motors plans to build a global factory in Cambodia, covering an area of 10 hectares.
