[Seminar on Building China ASEAN Blue Economy Partnership Together] On August 28th, the China (Hainan) Reform and Development Research Institute, Hainan Free Trade Port Research Institute, and East Asian Studies Institute of Thammasat University of Thailand jointly held a seminar on "Building the China ASEAN Blue Economy Partnership" in Bangkok, Thailand. More than 40 think tank experts and association representatives from China, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, and other countries participated. Professor Chi Fulin, Dean of China (Hainan) Reform and Development Research Institute and Hainan Free Trade Port Research Institute, gave a speech entitled "Promoting the Process of China ASEAN Blue Economy Cooperation" at the seminar. Chi Fulin believes that in the face of the new situation of comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and ASEAN, building the China ASEAN Blue Economy Partnership is conducive to solving prominent problems in China ASEAN comprehensive strategic cooperation, forming a new pattern of ocean governance led by ocean cooperation, and unleashing the enormous potential of the ocean economy, forming an important support for sustainable development.
