[President Xi meets with President Hassan of Tanzania] On the morning of September 4, 2024, President Xi Jinping met with Tanzanian President Hassan at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, which coincided with the Tanzanian President's visit to China to attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The President reviewed the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania, emphasizing the deep foundation of friendship between the two countries and the prospects for future cooperation. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues such as the exchange of experience in governance, political mutual trust and practical cooperation, and reached consensus. • On August 7, 2026, the first phase of the 100MW/200MWh project of the independent energy storage power station in Jinxian County officially started construction. This is the first provincial-level new energy storage pilot demonstration project in Jiangxi Province and the first independent energy storage project to start construction in Nanchang City. The overall planned installed capacity of the project is 300MW/600MWh.
