On September 14, 2024, marking the grand opening of the Meizhou West to Longchuan West high-speed railway, this important transportation project was officially put into operation. The Meilong High speed Railway, as the first high-speed railway project in Guangdong Province that is fully invested and built by the province, with a designed speed of up to 350 kilometers per hour, has profound strategic significance. It aims to strengthen the close connection between Meizhou and Heyuan regions and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote the process of regional economic integration. The Meilong high-speed railway has a total length of 98 kilometers and has carefully planned and established four stations. Wuhua Station, a modern transportation hub located in Huacheng Town, Wuhua County, Meizhou City, has a sophisticated yard layout with 2 platforms and 5 railway lines to meet the growing demand for passenger transportation. The station building has a grand scale, covering an area of 9998.78 square meters. Its uniqueness lies in the use of a large curved four slope curved grid roof design, which not only showcases the charm of modern architectural technology, but also makes the exterior lines of the station building smooth and majestic. The maximum span of the grid structure reaches 46.6 meters, like an eagle spreading its wings to fly, covering a vast area of 7662 square meters. The overall weight is astonishingly 370 tons, demonstrating strong structural support capabilities.

Meizhou is located in the northeast of Guangdong Province, at the border of Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangxi provinces.
