[The outbound coal transportation volume of Xinjiang railway increased by 51% year-on-year] On September 18, 2024, the railway department in Xinjiang shipped 105 million tons of coal, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%. Among them, the coal export volume from Xinjiang reached 60.166 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 51%, providing strong support for ensuring national energy security and serving regional economic and social development. Since 2024, with the accelerated release of high-quality coal production capacity in Xinjiang, the demand for coal transportation from Xinjiang has become increasingly strong. The railway department in Xinjiang continues to enhance its coal transportation capacity by strengthening service marketing, implementing measures to tap potential and improve efficiency, and improving the functional layout of inbound and outbound channels. Since the beginning of this year, the daily average loading volume of Xinjiang coal transportation has reached 3422 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 47.7%. It is reported that the deck cargo ship "Green Source No.1" has a total tonnage of 6731, a net tonnage of 3769, a length of 125.8 meters, and a width of 28 meters. The ship adopts a single-layer deck design, which can carry more than 160 new energy vehicles on a single voyage under full load conditions. The parking capacity is about 60% higher than that of existing passenger and roll on/roll off transport ships. The ship is planned to be deployed on the route from Hai'an New Port in Zhanjiang to Xiuying Port in Haikou.
