The new route has started accepting bookings and will make its maiden flight on April 24, 2025. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will become Cathay Pacific's sixth passenger destination in the United States, bringing Cathay Pacific's North American destinations to eight. It is reported that the deck cargo ship "Green Source No.1" has a total tonnage of 6731, a net tonnage of 3769, a length of 125.8 meters, and a width of 28 meters. The ship adopts a single-layer deck design, which can carry more than 160 new energy vehicles on a single voyage under full load conditions. The parking capacity is about 60% higher than that of existing passenger and roll on/roll off transport ships.
