The total investment of the project is as high as 4 billion yuan, marking an important step in promoting the deep integration of green, low-carbon circular economy and high-end equipment manufacturing industry. The project is planned to be divided into two major sectors: energy storage industry manufacturing and grid-side energy storage, the former will build a 4GW annual output of cells, modules, and system integration production plant in three phases, and the latter will build a 1GW/4Gh energy storage power station and collection station, and the first phase has been launched first. On September 28, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of the Yi Energy lithium-ion power battery project was held in Qiaogang Park, Zongyang Economic Development Zone, Tongling City, Anhui Province.
