Modon Holding P.S.C (Modon), a local holding company in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, plans to jointly invest in the construction of an industrial zone under the "Ras Al Khaimah" megacity project in Egypt and has signed a letter of intent for cooperation with Elsewedy Industrial Development Company in Egypt. The industrial zone covers an area of 10 million square meters and is located south of the Alexandria-Matrouh Expressway, opposite the Ras Al Khaimah project developed by Modon.
In the first phase, the focus will be on attracting investors and manufacturers in the building materials sector to provide timely and cost-effective building materials supply for the project, while introducing advanced and sustainable building materials technologies. The industrial zone has convenient transportation connections, adjacent to major highways, airports, and high-speed railway networks. With the advancement of urban development, the supply chain system will be gradually strengthened and localized.
The joint venture between Modon and Elsewedy Industrial Development Company is the latest in a series of strategic partnerships to promote the Ras Al Khaimah megaproject, and it also demonstrates Modon's firm commitment to working with Egyptian enterprises to advance the project. The long-term vision of this industrial zone extends beyond the construction phase. It is planned to create a sustainable industrial base, achieve year-round economic activities, create a large number of job opportunities, and make a significant contribution to Egypt's GDP.
