On March 30th, the third unit of the first phase expansion of Qianying Power Plant in Suzhou, a key power project of Anhui Province's 14th Five Year Plan, successfully completed a 168 hour full load trial operation and officially entered commercial operation. The unit adopts internationally leading supercritical secondary reheating technology, with an installed capacity of 1000 megawatts and an annual power generation of 5 billion kilowatt hours. Its emission standards are better than those of natural gas units, making it a new benchmark for green coal-fired power in the Yangtze River Delta region.

During the project construction, Anhui Electric Power Construction Second Company innovatively applied 12 patented technologies:

1. Independently developed pipeline pre embedded flushing device, increasing oil system flushing efficiency by 40%

2. Achieve a qualification rate of 99.92% for non-destructive testing of boiler welds

3. Adopting a collaborative desulfurization and denitrification process, the sulfur dioxide emission concentration is less than 15mg/Nm ³ (only 30% of the national standard)

4. Equipped with 800MW deep peak shaving capability, the new energy consumption space is increased by 5%

As an important peak shaving power source of East China Power Grid, this unit has three major innovative advantages:

1. The coal consumption for power supply is as low as 258 grams per kilowatt hour, saving 200000 tons of standard coal annually

2. Full load desulfurization technology achieves ultra-low emissions at any operating condition of the unit

3. The response speed of the intelligent control system has been increased by 50%, and its peak shaving capability is industry-leading

The Anhui Provincial Energy Bureau stated that this is the 8th million kilowatt coal-fired power unit in the province, marking the completion of more than half of the 20 million kilowatt coal-fired power upgrade plan during the 14th Five Year Plan period.
