From 2016 to 2024, the annual number of China-Europe freight trains will grow from 1,702 to 19,000, the annual value of goods transported will increase from US$8 billion to US$66.4 billion, and the time required for 10,000 trains will be shortened from 90 months at the beginning of the train to less than 7 months......
In China, the western, central and eastern corridors built by the China-Europe Express have taken shape, 128 cities in China have opened the China-Europe Express, and 28 China-Europe train routes have been mapped starting from coastal ports such as Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao and Lianyungang.
Overseas, the China-Europe Railway Express and countries along the route continue to promote the diversified development of corridors, and the train can reach 229 cities in 26 European countries and more than 100 cities in 11 Asian countries.

According to the characteristics of the domestic and foreign transportation organization of the China-Europe train, the railway department has increased the maximum number of trains and the traction quality of the 120 km/h China-Europe train to 55 vehicles and 3,000 tons respectively. In close cooperation with the customs department, the railway "fast pass" mode has been optimized, and the customs clearance time has been shortened from about half a day to less than 30 minutes, and it only takes a few minutes at the earliest.
China Railway Container Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Group, has also set up overseas subsidiaries in Kazakhstan, Germany and other countries to deepen pragmatic cooperation with local railway, logistics, port and freight forwarding enterprises, and jointly organize the development of two-way cargo sources. At present, the outbound and return trips of China-Europe freight trains are basically balanced, and the comprehensive heavy container rate is basically stable at 100%. In order to continuously improve the overall competitiveness of the China-Europe trains, the railway department has innovatively launched the China-Europe trains with domestic and overseas timetables, which currently run 17 trains per week, with the whole running time reduced by more than 30% on average compared with ordinary trains, and the average value per container of goods increased by 41% compared with ordinary China-Europe trains.
