China and Brunei have long been linked by the Maritime Silk Road. Today, the Belt and Road Initiative injects new impetus into economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Recently, in the flagship cooperation project of the Belt and Road between China and China, the optical storage power plant provided by Lisiner for the overall solution of the energy storage system was put into operation smoothly!
The first phase of the energy storage system, with an installed capacity of 23.8MWh, operates in conjunction with the 47.5MW photovoltaic system to provide highly reliable power supply to the industrial zone of Brunei Maura and optimize the regional energy structure.
Empowering the Green Silk Road
The Energy Chemical Base is Brunei’s largest foreign-invested construction project to date and an important part of the Belt and Road Strategy’s landing in Brunei.
Petrochemical refining process is complex, process loops are intertwined, large-scale equipment for a long time high load operation, the stability of the power system, continuity and instantaneous responsiveness put forward very high requirements. The special environment of the island moisture, high temperature, high salt mist, more safety and reliability of the energy storage system put forward a higher threshold.
Lisiner creates highly secure, stable and efficient targeted solutions for island adaptation.
The power station is equipped with 8 C2982L1 container-type energy storage systems, 20 feet single compartment capacity reaches 2.98MWh, high integration and high energy density design, occupying a compact area. The system has C5-M corrosion rating and IP54 protection ability, which can be adapted to the tropical island environment for a long time. Intelligent liquid cold and heat management technology will control the operating temperature below 35 ℃, ensuring battery life and performance stability.
In order to meet the needs of energy chemical enterprises for high power and rapid adjustment, the energy storage system adopts a low-voltage centralized framework design, achieving a 1P charge and discharge magnification, which can instantly inject high-power electricity into the production line at critical times.

Whether during peak hours or in the event of a sudden drop in power supply, the system can maintain full power output to ensure a stable power supply.
Energy storage systems take on multiple tasks such as mitigating PV power fluctuations, peaking filling valleys, and ensuring backup electricity, maximizing the proportion of local renewable energy consumption and significantly reducing production costs. At the same time, reduced fossil energy consumption will directly lead to carbon emission reductions, helping Brunei transition to a cleaner and more sustainable energy structure, providing a replicable demonstration practice for clean energy cooperation along the Belt and Road.
The successful commissioning of this Brunei project once again expanded the overseas application landscape of Lisiner Stream® series of energy storage products. Currently, Lisiner’s self-developed and produced energy storage equipment has been successfully commissioned in several countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and other continents, winning high recognition from global partners for its robust and excellent operating performance.
The company will continue to focus on energy storage core technology R&D and power operation service innovation, actively participate in more global clean energy infrastructure construction, and continuously contribute Chinese wisdom and power to promote low-carbon, intelligent and efficient energy systems.(This article is from the official website of Jian Dao www.seetao.com.
