[Jiangxi International wins bid for Laos National Highway Renovation Project] Recently, Jiangxi International Company successfully won the bid for the renovation project of the third section of Laos' National Highway No. 2. The project is located in Oudomxay Province, Laos, and is supported by funding from the World Bank. It is planned to commence construction in 2025. The main construction content of the project includes comprehensive upgrading and reconstruction of a 15 kilometer highway, specifically involving roadbed widening, upgrading the entire line to asphalt concrete pavement, building new bridges, culverts, and side ditches and other supporting facilities. The contract period is 36 months. After the completion of the project, it will significantly improve the local transportation conditions, enhance the regional road network capacity, and provide important support for the economic and social development of northern Laos. This winning bid further demonstrates the competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in the field of international engineering contracting and reflects the continuous deepening cooperation between China and Laos in infrastructure construction.
