[Guangzhou natural gas cogeneration enters the comprehensive construction stage] Recently, the Guangzhou Knowledge City Hengyun Natural Gas Cogeneration Project, undertaken by China Energy Construction Longjiang Energy Construction Company, welcomed the first concrete pouring ceremony for the main factory building, marking a new stage of comprehensive construction for the project. The project is located in Huangpu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. Two 460 MW (9F type) gas-fired steam combined cycle cogeneration units are planned to be constructed, which have black start capability and can quickly restore power supply, enhancing the stability and reliability of the regional power grid. Moreover, the project cleverly integrates diversified energy utilization facilities such as photovoltaic power generation and charging piles, and uses recycled water as the water source, fully demonstrating the development concept of efficient resource utilization and low-carbon environmental protection. As a key energy project at the provincial and municipal levels, this project will become the core "hub" for energy supply in the Knowledge City after it is put into operation. Its annual production capacity is expected to exceed 3.1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity and 2 million tons of steam, providing clean electricity to the core area of Guangzhou and strongly supporting the energy demand of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, providing solid energy security for industrial upgrading and people's livelihood improvement. The consortium formed by East China Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Electric Power Construction Group and China Water Resources and Hydropower Sixth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd. has successfully won the bid with a bid price of 427 million yuan. This project includes four major sections: main channel management, branch channel management, special improvement, and information technology engineering. The main ditch treatment will build a 3.4-kilometer flood channel slope protection and bottom protection, and a 0.8-kilometer embankment; The management of the tributary involves the construction of 6.57 kilometers of ecological revetment; The special upgrading project will build 18.135 kilometers of patrol roads; The information technology project will build a digital twin base plate and a flash flood warning system.
