[India's first energy storage system released using 314 battery cells]Indian company REPLUS Engitech has launched a battery energy storage system called RE5K during the 2025 India Renewable Energy Expo, which is also the first domestic battery energy storage system in India.
The RE5K battery energy storage system is equipped with 314Ah energy storage cells, and the energy storage capacity of a single 20 foot container is 5.01MWh. There are 8 modular battery racks in each cabin, equipped with locally developed battery management systems, sensors, and control electronics in India, in addition to imported batteries.
It is said that this product is specially developed for the energy storage market in India, with intelligent liquid cooling and precise temperature control functions. It can adapt to environments up to 50 ℃ and maintain an internal temperature of 25 ± 2 ℃ for a long time. Even under extreme environmental conditions, it can ensure consistent operation and guarantee the best battery life of up to 15 years.
In addition, this energy storage system combines a dual level fire protection design of oxygen suppression and water spray fire extinguishing, as well as a corrosion-resistant structural design, making the energy storage system more stable and capable of achieving a long-term operational reliability of 20 years of service life and 10000 charge discharge cycles.
The modular design of this energy storage system enables fast installation and easy maintenance, advanced energy management, and flexible expansion for application in grid side energy storage and industrial energy storage scenarios. At present, RE5K has met international safety and performance standards.Editor/Bian Wenjun
