[he integration of urban and rural water supply in Fengshui has started construction] Recently, the urban and rural water supply integration project in the Yishui River Basin of Chaling County, Hunan Province, has started construction, with a total investment of 1.026 billion yuan, covering all townships (streets) in the jurisdiction. It is divided into two major sections: the county town section will build a 100 acre Yuyun Water Plant and supporting projects; 16 township water plant facilities will be updated and renovated in the township sector, 11 water plants will be expanded, and a new and renovated water supply network of 1108 kilometers will be built to construct a modern water supply system, achieving "same quality, same price, and same service" for urban and rural water supply. The total investment of the first phase of the project currently underway is 169 million yuan, which will build a new water supply plant with a daily production capacity of 50000 m ³/d, two intermediate lift pump rooms, and lay a 43.81km main water transmission and distribution network.
