[Shandong Electric Power Construction signs contract for UAE photovoltaic project]Recently, Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Engineering Co., Ltd. officially signed an EPC general contract for a 1500MW photovoltaic power station in Hazna, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates with ENGIE Group and LONGi Green Energy in Beijing. The project adopts an advanced centralized photovoltaic solution, equipped with automatic cleaning system, flat single axis tracking bracket and other facilities. After completion, it will significantly increase the proportion of clean energy in the UAE and help the local energy structure transformation.
This cooperation is the first large-scale photovoltaic EPC project undertaken by Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Company in the United Arab Emirates, marking an important breakthrough for Chinese enterprises in the high-end energy market in the Middle East. The project adopts internationally leading photovoltaic technology solutions and is equipped with intelligent operation and maintenance systems. It is expected that the annual power generation after completion can meet the electricity needs of hundreds of thousands of households.

The first ultra-high voltage project in Shanghai during the 15th Five Year Plan period, the main transformer expansion project of Liantang 1000 kV substation, has recently started construction. As the core hub for East China Power's entry into Shanghai, the project has a total investment of 350 million yuan and is planned to be put into operation in June 2027. It will add 3 million kVA main transformers and increase Shanghai's external power receiving capacity by 50%. This expansion will be connected with the Mongolian Electric Power's Shanghai Ultra High Voltage Direct Current Project, which is expected to introduce 40 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity from Inner Mongolia annually, with green electricity accounting for over 50%.Editor/Cheng Liting
