[Successful bid for large-scale energy storage EPC project] In November 2025, a heavyweight news came from the domestic energy storage industry - a certain energy construction group successfully won the bid for a 500MW/2GWh large-scale energy storage EPC project with its independently developed network type energy storage core technology, full chain engineering service capabilities, and mature commercial landing experience. The total investment of this project exceeds 2.5 billion yuan, and it is located in the northwest region where new energy resources are abundant. It is currently a leading scale grid type energy storage demonstration project in China. After completion, it will become a key support for the coordinated operation of source grid load storage in the new power system, setting an industry benchmark for the large-scale application of grid type energy storage technology. As the core highlight of the project, the grid construction technology completely subverts the traditional "following" operation mode of energy storage, enabling energy storage power stations to have the ability to actively support the power grid. The project adopts lithium iron phosphate energy storage batteries combined with independently developed grid type PCS (energy storage converter), with an energy storage capacity of 2GWh and a designed discharge time of 4 hours, which can achieve "source grid interaction" with the power grid - not only can it quickly respond to power grid frequency and voltage fluctuations, provide millisecond level frequency regulation and peak shaving services, but it can also maintain local voltage stability in case of power grid faults, provide virtual inertia support for new energy units, and fundamentally solve the problem of grid stability caused by high proportion of new energy grid connection.
