[Vanadium liquid flow energy storage exports to Australia] In November 2025, the internationalization of China's energy storage industry will add another heavyweight achievement - a leading domestic energy storage technology enterprise officially signed a contract for the Australian 350MW/1200MWh all vanadium liquid flow energy storage project, which is currently the largest single vanadium liquid flow energy storage overseas project in China. The total investment of the project exceeds AUD 3 billion, and it is expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2026. By the first half of 2028, full capacity grid connected operation will be achieved. With core advantages such as long-term stable operation and high safety and environmental protection, it will provide a Chinese solution for the construction of Australia's new power system and become a benchmark model for energy technology cooperation between China and Australia. As a "long-distance runner" in the global energy storage field, all vanadium flow energy storage technology has become the preferred solution for long-term energy storage scenarios due to its unique advantages such as ultra long cycle life, no risk of thermal runaway, and environmentally friendly recyclability. The 350MW/1200MWh project that went abroad this time has a designed discharge time of about 3.4 hours, using independently developed high-power density fuel cells, high flow electrolyte circulation systems, and intelligent energy management platforms. The core technical indicators have reached the international advanced level.
